Read Some Samples of a Beowulf EssayAlthough you cannot be sure what you are going to say in an essay, it does not hurt to read some samples of a Beowulf essay. Beowulf was a great king of England, who took over the throne at the age of twenty-one. He was a fierce warrior, and as such was quite famous for his courage. His great heroics are what made him a great king, and therefore he is considered a great hero today. However, the truth of the matter is that he was not a great warrior. There are many examples of feats that were performed by Beowulf but I will only list a few.First, it has been said that it was Beowulf's skill with a spear that earned him the honor of being known as the 'King of the Iron Spear.' While this is true, it does not mean that he was very good at wielding a spear. In fact, during the battle that he was leading against the Danes, he used a spindle which looked a lot like a spear. This is the spear that his grandson later used in the battle of Bosworth Field.Sec ond, many people think that Beowulf's fame came from the epic poem called the 'Beowulf.' However, that poem is more than a century old and is definitely not the reason that people consider Beowulf to be famous. The reason why Beowulf is so well known, is because he is considered a great king. He is well known for leading the defense of Britain against a number of invaders and for himself having the ability to take on other warriors, or 'Norges,' much more easily than other kings did.The great feats of bravery that Beowulfand his warriors performed are a great testament to the courage that he had. He is not remembered for being a warrior. This is why there are so many samples of a Beowulf essay available for you to read. Many scholars believe that Beowulf was really the son of two brothers. The second of the brothers was a much stronger man than the first, and Beowulf was forced to flee his homeland to avoid the cruelty of his brother. Since then, he has traveled around the world, incl uding in the New World where he became a popular king. The people of Scotland respected and admired him as a king, a fighter, and a hero.
